Luxury Leather Notebooks

There are many different kinds of luxury leather notebooks notebooks on the market. Some are made of real leather and some of them feature the highest quality paper. If you are looking for a special notebook, maybe for writing down your most important thoughts, you should consider one of these luxury leather journals. They will make a great gift for any occasion.

One of the most famous brands when it comes to luxury notebooks is Montblanc. It offers high-end products that combine design and functionality, such as the Montblanc 146 Notebook which is available in various colors. The cover of this particular notebook is made of grey saffiano leather, which not only looks refined but is also quite robust. It doesn’t get ruined by bumps and scratches as quickly as other less rugged notebook covers. Inside, the paper is of a good thickness and there’s a lot of room for writing. The pages are lined and come with a raised Montblanc snowcap on the front and a silver wordmark on the back. There is also a small flap on the rear which can be used to keep your notes safe in case of an emergency.

A more affordable option from the same brand is the Louise Carmen A5 Leather Journal. This product is a bit smaller than the Moleskine but still provides plenty of space for your notes. The leather is a nice quality and it feels smooth in the hand. There’s a pocket on the front of the notebook for holding a couple of credit cards and there is an elastic closure which is anchored on the back of the notebook. This is a little more awkward than the vertical elastic found on Moleskine-style notebooks but it keeps the notebook tightly closed and prevents pages from flipping around.

There’s a choice of dotted or plain paper inside the notebook and each page is numbered. There is a little bit of extra glue visible from the binding on the spine of the notebook and there are some markings on the pages from where they were cut but these are not major problems. The front of the notebook can be embossed with your initials or a short message for a more personal touch.

Turkish stationery and leather goods company Galen Leather jumped on the Tomoe River bandwagon fairly early on, offering a variety of thin softcover notebooks with this paper. Their ‘Everyday Books’ range includes the Galen Leather Everyday Book, which is available in both a dotted and a lined version. This notebook is slightly smaller than the Moleskine but is still very slim, especially in the unlined version. The dotted version is a little bulkier because it has a section for a pen and the pages are numbered but not labeled, which I find a bit odd. The ‘Everyday Books’ range from Galen is an excellent value for Tomoe River fans. These notebooks are a bit cheaper than some of the other options on this list but still offer top-quality paper.
